Mary Jane Von Der Ahe, long time Auxiliary member and supporter
of the Sisters of Social Service.
For 91 years the Social Service Auxiliary has partnered with the Sisters of Social Service in their efforts to uplift the lives of those living on the margins of our society. Because of the vision of Sister Frederica Horvath, foundress of the Sisters of Social Service of Los Angeles, the Sisters set out on an energetic quest to cultivate benefactors who appreciated the mission and charism of the community and could support their critical daily needs as well as the important work they gifted neighborhoods across Los Angeles. Today we continue to collaborate with the Sisters with their mission to meet the needs of those who are alienated, struggling, or living in poverty, giving them a voice and supporting them as they try to create a better life for themselves and their families. We are grateful for the continued support of our members, friends and benefactors. We would not be able to help the Sisters and their life-giving ministries without your financial assistance!
