Sister Paula died of cancer on August 13, 2021. Born in Kansas City, she was a Sister of Social Service for 65 years; the majority
of those years of ministry were spent in Southern California. She began with Catholic Youth Organization as a Field Director in
L.A., and went on to serve at Holy Family Adoption Agency. In the 1960s Sister Paula began working in the field in which she
ultimately gained worldwide notice and respect: the pro-life movement. Over many decades Sister Paula organized and trained staff
and volunteers throughout the U.S. and four other countries. Sister Paula is internationally recognized leader in the pro-life
movement and has trained, ministered, and inspired thousands. It should be noted that in the midst of this hotly debated topic,
Sister Paula never spoke unkindly of those who held opposing beliefs, and treated friend and foe alike with grace and respect.
